DLL Plugins
DLL plugins are code mods injected into the game at launch — the most common being GWToolbox. GW Launcher loads them so you don’t have to inject anything by hand.
Add plugins for every account
Create a folder named plugins next to GW_Launcher.exe and drop your .dll files in it.
Every account with Use mods in plugin folders ticked will load them.
GW Launcher\
├─ GW_Launcher.exe
└─ plugins\
└─ GWToolbox.dll
You can also use a .lnk shortcut to a .dll instead of copying the file — handy for
pointing at a build that lives elsewhere.
Add plugins for one installation
Put a plugins folder next to a specific copy’s Gw.exe to load those DLLs only for
accounts launched from that folder:
Guild Wars (Copy 2)\
├─ Gw.exe
└─ plugins\
└─ SomePlugin.dll
Add a plugin to a single account
Skip the folders and attach a DLL to just one account:
Edit accountModsAdd ModThe file appears under the DLLs group in the Mod Manager.
Notes
- Plugins load in alphabetical filename order.
- A plugin that needs admin rights will require the account’s Run elevated option (or running GW Launcher as administrator).
- If a DLL fails to inject, the launch is aborted with the error — see Troubleshooting.
